A Pink & Purple Event |

I helped decorate for my friend's baby shower recently and thought I would post some of the photos of the decor in case anyone was looking for inspiration for a shower that they are putting on.

The theme of this shower was 'Pink and Purple' as well as 'Spring / Flowers'.

Flower Centrepieces - If you are interested in instructions on how I made the centrepieces click on the 'centrepiece' link in the side bar to the right and you will find a post about them there. (All supplies along with the doilies and the felt bird and flower shaped confetti were purchased at Michael's Craft Store)

Feather Boas on the Gift Table

Beautiful Cake & Cupcakes made by 'Mill Street Cakes'

Sock Cupcakes for Mommy and Baby - Watch how to make them HERE.

A custom 'Cloths Line' baby banner. Made out of scrapbook paper with buttons, lace trim, and clothes pins added to give is a 3D look.

Jube-Jube Flower for on the punch table - made by sticking jube-jubes into a Styrofoam ball using toothpicks (that have been broken in half) - then simply cut out two different size petals and tape them to toothpicks and stick them in evenly around the ball.

Another cute idea is to cut you sandiwiches into flower shapes! Be sure to use a metal cookie cutter to ensure a nice clean cut through the soft bread (or if you are having trouble simply freeze your bread slightly to get a better cut).

Rubber Duck in the Punch bowl - you can even get cute polka dot ducks or ducks in other colours to match your theme.

This diaper cake was made by the mommy (Natalie) that we threw the above shower for. She made it for her sister-in-law's shower but I thought I would include it as an inspirational photo as she did such a great job on it!

Happy Planning!
